Digital competence is an essential skill in the current context of strong digital transformation, requiring students to be equipped through active learning activities. This paper focuses on clarifying the concept of digital competence for high school students based on Circular No. 02/2025/TT-BGDĐT and analyzes opportunities for developing digital competence through the topic “some forms of financial investment” in Grade 11 Mathematics. The paper proposes and concretizes a four-step teaching scenario design process, emphasizing scenario structure and the application of digital technology. The process is illustrated with two practical scenarios (investing in savings deposits and practical stock investing), providing guidance for teachers to enhance learning engagement and develop digital competence for students. The research findings offer a theoretical framework and a practical process for designing teaching activities aimed at developing digital competence for students.
