Tóm tắt

Digital pedagogical competence is becoming increasingly important as digital technologies and artificial intelligence are integrated into higher education. This study examines the factors predicting digital pedagogical competence based on survey data from 438 lecturers at five higher education institutions in Vietnam. The data were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis and hierarchical OLS regression. The results indicate that the model explains 72.1% of the variance in digital pedagogical competence. Among the factors examined, artificial intelligence application competence emerged as the strongest predictor, followed by digital learning design competence and digital self-efficacy. Institutional support, professional learning communities, and pedagogical innovation orientation were also positive predictors. These findings reflect the combined influence of individual, pedagogical, and organizational factors on lecturers’ digital pedagogical competence and provide a basis for informing faculty professional development in Vietnamese higher education.
