Improving quality of national defense and security education is an objective requirement, aiming at raising responsibility, creating a change in awareness and thought of national defense, security and Homeland safeguarding in the new situation for leaders at all levels, students and people. In the recent time, the work of education, training and dissemination of national defense and security knowledge has been carried out seriously and systematically, making positive contributions to the cause of Homeland building and safeguarding; however, there are still certain shortcomings and limitations. The article analyzes the current situation and proposes some key solutions to improve the quality of national defense and security education today. Fully grasping the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress on the task of national defense and security education, it requires the Ministries, Central and local agencies and units to thoroughly grasp the viewpoints and guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State on national defense and security, synchronously deploying solutions to improve the quality of national defense and security, meeting requirements of strengthening and consolidating national defense and security, firmly building and safeguarding the socialist Vietnamese Homeland.
