Sử dụng phương pháp Delphi trong xây dựng khung đánh giá năng lực phát triển ngôn ngữ cho trẻ của giáo viên mầm non

Teachers’ competencies to develop language skills for young children are essential. However, in Vietnam, this topic seems not to receive adequate attention from researchers. Thus, this study aims to explore factors reflecting competencies of kindergarten teachers in developing language skills for children. Using Delphi method, this study conducted three rounds of interviews with 14 experts, the two latter of which were to reassure the significance of factors identified in round 1. To conclude, this study has identified 46 factors reflecting the competencies of kindergarten teachers in developing language skills for children. These 46 factors were further classified into four groups: (1) Teacher's linguistic responsivity, (2) Language developing activities, (3) Creating classroom language environment, and (4) Incorporating to parents and community. The results of this study would provide implications for policymakers, teacher training managers, preschool managers in designing policies and programs to enhance capacities for kindergarten teachers.
