Nguyen Du's The Tale of Kieu is a poetic masterpiece from Vietnamese literature. Many studies have evaluated the values of The Tale of Kieu in general and the art of words in The Tale of Kieu in particular. Studying the logicalness in Nguyen Du's The Tale of Kieu will show some verses or stanzas that satisfy the rules of logic. Many verses or stanzas in The Tale of Kieu have a logical structure of conjunction, inclusive disjunction, exclusive disjunction and implication. Many sentences are judge general affirmative statements, particular affirmations, general negations. The arguments (dialogues) of the characters satisfy the rules of inference such as modus ponens, modus tollens, inference, drawing particular from the general, or other more complex rules. The laws of thinking such as the law of identity, the law of the prohibition of contradiction, the law of anti-centralism, and the law of sufficient reason can all be found in Kieu's sentences as examples.
