Collaboration is becoming a trend in modern science. The emergence of new research topics that require interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary cooperation in research has led to the trend and expansion of cooperation in science. Scientific cooperation also helps scientists from developing countries to access the latest trends, resources and research support tools, thereby improving research capacity of individuals as well as developing countries in science. This article shows that the trend of international cooperation is growing in the Vietnamese scientific community. In addition, Vietnamese scientists have also started to build a network of research cooperation in the country and achieved certain achievements in recent years. However, aside from the benefits, research has also found that collaborating in science creates ethical concerns, conflicts with the law, and unequal access to science. Therefore, the article proposes some recommendations to improve cooperation capacity in international scientific publishing.
