Thử nghiệm thích ứng thang đo năng lực cảm xúc - xã hội cho học sinh trung học cơ sở: Nghiên cứu tại một trường phổ thông ở thành phố Hà Nội
Tóm tắt
Social-emotional competence is considered a crucial factor for the future success of students. Understanding and measuring this competence in Vietnamese secondary school students can help educators develop better support systems. This article employs a literature review method to explore the structure of social-emotional competence, followed by an adaptation of the SECQ scale by Zhou and Ee on a sample of students aged 11 to 15 from Thang Long K-12 School, Hanoi. The initial adaptation of the SECQ-VN scale ensures reliability (Cronbach's Alpha coefficient = 0.721) and validity (KMO = 0.717; p < 0.001). Confirmatory factor analysis results indicate that the scale achieves the best model fit (χ2/df = 2.723; CFI = 0.979; SRMR = 0.043; RMSEA = 0.066; PCLOSE = 0.184) with a 5-factor structure. These findings are consistent with several other adaptations worldwide. The article also discusses some limitations and suggestions for further research. These results are expected to guide the measurement of social-emotional competence for secondary school students in Vietnam.
