In the context of educational reform and international integration, the enrichment of gifted students is an important strategy to identify, nurture, and develop students’ abilities, thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of general education. This study examines the current situation of activities to enrich gifted students at six lower secondary schools in wards of Bảo Lộc City, Lâm Đồng Province, with the participation of 18 school administrators, 169 teachers, and 98 students. Data were collected through questionnaires combined with in-depth interviews, focusing on 4 components: objectives; content and curriculum; forms of implementation; and supportive conditions for activities to enrich gifted students. The findings show that activities to enrich gifted students are generally rated as “fairly good.” However, there remain limitations in fostering students’ thinking methods and self-study skills, diversifying forms of enrichment, as well as in supportive conditions and reward mechanisms. This study provides empirical evidence on the current situation of activities to enrich gifted students at lower secondary schools in the research area, serving as a basis for proposing solutions to improve the quality of this work in the future.
