Tóm tắt

Traffic safety education is an important component of school programs, aiming to develop students’ awareness, skills, and behaviors for safe participation in traffic. This study was conducted to assess the current situation of traffic safety education activities at Phan Cong Hon Secondary School, Ba Diem Commune, Ho Chi Minh City. Using a questionnaire survey combined with 83 administrators and teachers and 150 students, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to examine aspects such as objectives, content, methods, and participants involved in traffic safety education. The results show that administrators, teachers, and students all hold positive perceptions of the objectives of traffic safety education; the content is relatively comprehensive, covering legal knowledge, practical skills, and compliance attitudes toward traffic regulations. However, practical experiential activities and coordination among schools, families, and traffic police remain limited. The study recommends strengthening hands-on activities, innovating educational methods, and expanding inter-sectoral collaboration to enhance the effectiveness of traffic safety education for students.
