Tóm tắt

Child abuse has become a pressing concern in general education, requiring teacher training institutions to develop practical educational models that equip students with self-protection skills. From this need, Hung Vuong University has developed an experiential education model for child abuse prevention, designed based on students’ cognitive and psychological characteristics. The model incorporates a variety of engaging activities such as drawing, dancing, singing, calligraphy, self-defense, and role-playing situations to help students practice skills in preventing abduction, school violence, accidental injuries, and sexual abuse. The study employed questionnaire surveys, expert interviews, and field observations to assess the model’s levels of need, feasibility, effectiveness, innovativeness, practicality, and socio-economic impacts. The results indicated that the model was rated “very good” across all evaluation criteria. It contributes to enhancing students’ self-protection skills and raising community awareness of child abuse prevention. The model showcases high practical values and can be effectively applied in life skills education, contributing to the development of a safe and friendly school environment.
