In teaching experiential and career guidance activities for lower secondary students in particular, and every subject under the 2018 General Education Program in general, it is extremely important for teachers to understand the Program and textbooks, contributing to achieving the general educational goals as well as the objectives of the subject. The general education curriculum is an important framework that officially states the educational goals and requirements for expected students' competencies. The article focuses on clarifying the concept and importance of the curriculum and textbooks, explaining how to use the program and textbooks to design experiential activities for 7th grade students, facilitating students’ knowledge acquisition in a practical and vivid way and  providing a detailed process of designing experiential activities. Besides, the article presents some examples to illustrate the use of the program and textbooks in designing experiential activities for 7th grade students, promoting readers’ understanding of how to use the program and textbooks to design experiential activities for secondary school students.
