Tóm tắt
Singapore has strategically developed The Gifted Education Programme (GEP) to nurture high-potential students through an enriched curriculum emphasizing advanced academic knowledge, interdisciplinary learning, and real-world application. The program fosters critical thinking, creativity, and leadership skills, supported by hands-on experiences, individualized learning, and problem-solving approaches. Assessment methods extend beyond traditional exams to include project-based evaluations and innovation-driven tasks. While GEP has successfully produced globally competitive talents, challenges such as academic pressure, selection process limitations, and the need for continuous adaptation remain. Through analyzing the Singaporean model of implementing gifted education activities, the article presents a general assessment of the achievements and limitations of GEP, thereby recommending lessons that can be applied to Vietnam, focusing on early talent identification, specialized teacher training, diversifying the curriculum and increasing financial and institutional support. Findings from this desk review will contribute to shaping Vietnam’s gifted education policies, ensuring the development of a highly skilled workforce aligned with national and global advancements.
