Tích hợp giáo dục bảo tồn biển và đại dương trong Chương trình giáo dục phổ thông 2018 ở Việt Nam
Tóm tắt
Seas and oceans play an essential role in sustainable development. Therefore, raising ocean knowledge in education could promote awareness and motivate environmental protection actions. Integrating marine conservation education into the curriculum contributes to global discussions, facilitates the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, and helps students raise awareness, appreciate the ocean, and be ready to take action to protect the marine environment. This article assesses the level of integration of marine conservation education into the 2018 General Education Curriculum (GEC) in Vietnam. Qualitative research methods are used, with Nvivo software supporting the analysis of 12 subject programs. The results showed that there are 21 topics in 8 subjects with the potential to integrate marine conservation education content. Subsequently, the study identified opportunities and challenges in implementing marine conservation education in the general education system. These findings provide a basis for teacher training institutions and schools to develop comprehensive strategies to implement marine conservation education toward sustainable development.
