Xây dựng văn hóa đại học: Một nghiên cứu trường hợp ba trường đại học ở miền trung Việt Nam
Tóm tắt
Each university has a unique history through many changes in each stage of its development, being gradually shaped by its own characteristics, thereby forming the institutional culture. Given the analysis of data obtained from an online survey with 63 administrators and lecturers; in-depth interviews with 20 institutional and middle administrators and two focus group interviews with 7 lecturers and staff, this article summarizes major advantages and disadvantages of building and maintaining university culture. As suggested in the paper, to successfully build a university culture, the institution needs to selectively cultivate a system of core values that are both directional and distinctive of the institution, as well as strategically nourish such values institution-wide so that every member of the institution can live with them, has a strong ownership of such and continues to cherish them for their institutional sustainable development.
