Tóm tắt

Teachers’ professional development plays an important role in current Vietnamese education. Professional development should not be done in a particular time; it is demanded to conduct uninteruptedly in stead. Thanks for professional development, teachers are able to improve and enhance their teaching methodology in order to deliver lessons more effectively. This study aims at finding the relationship between teachers’ motivation and professional development among schools in Vietnam. The results revealed that the motivation among teachers in professional development is not the same. Moreover, the higher motivation they have, the more time they spend on professional development. This research also suggests several recommendations for policymakers, schools, and other participants to encourage teachers to continue their professional development.
