Safe schools are a model that all schools need to strive to build to ensure the physical and mental safety of learners against any risk factors during the educational process at school. The article analyzes the practice of managing the construction of safe schools according to management functions and factors affecting this work, through the use of a questionnaire survey method to survey 38 managers and 185 teachers and staff at 8 kindergartens in Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province. The research results show that, in general, the management of building safe schools is carried out regularly and quite effectively; however, in planning, organizing implementation and inspection - evaluation, there are still indicators of implementation at the level of “occasional” and effectiveness at the level of “average”, showing limitations in implementing management functions. On that basis, the article recommends management orientations for building safe schools in kindergartens in the area. Effective and synchronous implementation of management functions will help ensure the construction of safe schools in kindergartens in the area, contributing to creating the best conditions for the comprehensive development of children.
