Competence-based education, also known as competency-based educational approach, has become an important trend in educational reform in many countries around the world, including Vietnam. Applying the competence-based approach to teaching activities requires more in-depth research. The article clarifies the meaning of some related terms such as competence based approach, teaching activities, managing teaching activities from competence-based approach; analyzing the current situation of managing teaching activities based on competence approach in primary schools in Kim Dong district, Hung Yen province in recent times. Thereby, the article provides some recommendations for management subjects who are principals and for management objects who are teachers, and contributes for improving the efficiency of these activities in the future.
