On July 30th, 2021, the Prime Minister of Vietnam signed the Decision No.1373/QĐ-TTg approving the project “Building a learning society in the period of 2021-2030”. An important mission and solution of the Project is to promote the operation of the community learning center to meet the lifelong learning needs of the people and serve the socio-economic development of the locality. The study investigates the Law on Promoting Informal and Non-formal Education of Thailand, a country with similar socio-economic and cultural conditions to Vietnam; thereby drawing useful lessons and experience to make some suggestions for the process of building a Law on Lifelong Learning in Vietnam. The research results will be suggestions for further research and development of the Lifelong Learning Law in accordance with Vietnam's socio-economic conditions in the current international integration context.
