The application of information technology and the Internet has made an essential contribution to improving the effectiveness of Geography teaching in high schools, especially in renovating the general education program towards developing students' capacity. The article introduces Google Earth - an effective tool in teaching Geography, the ability to apply Google Earth in teaching Geography in high schools, and proposes methods and forms for teachers and students to learn. Students rationally apply software to improve students' general ability and Geography ability. In addition, the study also shows the results of pedagogical experiments demonstrating the effectiveness and feasibility of using Google Earth in teaching Geography in high schools.
