Cảm xúc âm tính của cha mẹ có con rối loạn phổ tự kỉ: Nghiên cứu trên địa bàn Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh
Tóm tắt
Parents who have children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) often face difficulties in raising and caring for them; they have to endure negative emotions such as fear, anger, sadness and shame. This condition not only affects their mental health but can also adversely impact children’ development and the quality of family life. The article explores the negative emotions of parents with children with ASD in Ho Chi Minh City. The study was conducted with the survey method with the participation of 357 parents with children with ASD. The results showed that the most common negative emotion in parents with children with ASD was fear, followed by sadness, anger and shame. There is no difference in negative emotions between fathers and mothers; parents with children with ASD who are not yet verbal experience stronger negative emotions than parents of those who were verbal; The parents of children with severe ASD have higher levels of fear and anger than those with moderate and mild ASD. These findings provide a basis for proposing measures to prevent and reduce negative emotions for parents of children with ASD.
