Tóm tắt

The sudden move to online teaching and learning under the requirements of Industrial 4.0 and the strong impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has raised questions about the quality of online classes among educators, researchers, education managers, and other stakeholders. This study aims to give a literature review on best practices in assessing online teaching effectiveness globally; then, based on the research results, the authors propose implications for the Vietnamese educational context. The research is critical in giving the scientific and practical foundation of evaluating online teaching quality in the context that this mode of teaching and learning is widely-spreading and widely accepted in Vietnam and the world.
