The 2018 Mathematics General Education Program integrates Financial Education as an integrated and applied content of mathematical knowledge and as a content of practical and experiential activities. Financial education in schools helps create a generation of students with financial literacy who can effectively apply the knowledge in practice to benefit themselves, their families, and contribute to national socio-economic sustainability. This study clarifies the potentials of financial education in teaching the topic "Decimals" (Math 6), thereby designing a teaching situation for this topic through integrating financial education. In the given experimental situation, some students initially could not determine how to calculate the bill, but with the support of the teacher, students were able to use their mathematical knowledge to solve problems. The experimental results show that practical problems such as calculating the amount of electricity and water bills help students realize the meaning of knowledge about decimals, the meaning of rounding numbers, etc. in real life.
