Culture plays a very important role in language acquisition. The integration of culture into foreign language teaching is becoming more and more popular. Teachers often use pre-designed cultural activities in textbooks. This article presents the results on the integration of culture-based activities into English lessons for EFL students at Dong Thap University. The results indicate the differences in cultural definition, the perception of the relationship between culture and foreign language teaching and learning, lecturers’ efforts in integrating culture-based activities into English teaching by using different activities. Despite certain efforts, to improve the effectiveness of this activity, the following recommendations might be offered: (1) some revision should be provided for the currently employed curriculum; (2) lecturers need to be supplied with sufficient intercultural knowledge and appropriate teaching methods, (3) enhancement is expected of EFL students’ language competence.
