Pedagogical training for pedagogical students is always the primary mission of teacher training institutions to fulfill the requirements for innovation in the current educational context. The article proposes some measures for the courses of the teacher training curriculum, in order to improve professional skills for pedagogical students at the University of Education - Vietnam National University, Hanoi in particular and students of pedagogical schools in general, such as: Organizing a combined teaching model; Integrating training and improving professional skills and competencies for students through the course on Ethics in the field of education; Enhancing the use of technology in the organizing process of training pedagogical skills for students; Cooperating frequently and effectively with collegiate schools. The research contributes to providing meaningful guidance for administrators, lecturers and a springboard to improve training quality for pedagogical students in response to the requirements of the new general education curriculum regarding capacity development in general and pedagogical competency in particular.
