Career education is a compulsory component of the 2018 General Education Program, playing an important role in shaping career orientation among high school students. Prior studies, however, show that the implementation and management of career education vary considerably across localities, and the relationship between these two dimensions has rarely been examined directly within a specific setting. This study determines the levels of implementation and management of career education activities at high schools in Ninh Kieu Ward, Can Tho City, and analyzes the correlation between the two dimensions, drawing on a survey of 400 respondents and Spearman correlation analysis. Both the level of implementation (M = 3.54) and the level of management (M = 3.58) of career education activities were rated at a fairly good level, with a positive, very strong, and statistically significant correlation (rho = 0.888; p < 0.001). Organizational formats scored lowest among the implementation components, while post-evaluation adjustment scored lowest among the management components. The findings point to a close relationship between the implementation and management of career education, although the research design does not allow for causal claims between the two dimensions. Organizational formats and post-evaluation adjustment remain the weakest links, suggesting that high schools should diversify career education formats and strengthen adjustment mechanisms following evaluation. Because the study relies on a cross-sectional design combined with correlation analysis, it cannot establish the direction of causality between the two variables. Future research could therefore apply regression analysis to clarify this relationship.
