To help students adapt to the development of science and technology, integrated science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education was introduced into the new general education curriculum. The article presents STEM education, 5E teaching model in STEM education, teaching process according to 5E model in STEM education and illustrates teaching and learning: “The electrolysis of water. PH. Acid-base indicator” (Chemistry 11) to train students with STEM skills and skills to apply knowledge to solve practical problems. Through the steps of the 5E model in STEM education, students can participate in learning situations that have the connection of knowledge and experience; experience, explore experiments, seek information; apply the results of experience to teaching situations to deeply understand the problem.
