The knowledge economy with the development of technology has emphasized the vital role of higher education in education and research, especially in knowledge transfer to serve society. However, the effectiveness in research of lecturers at higher education is influenced by various factors. By using mix method, this paper points out the impact of individual factors, leadership and organization to lecturer’s research capacity though there is difference among variables. These findings provide significant information to administrators in modification of institution’s policies which aims to enhance research capacity among lecturers, achieving institution’s development goals in the coming period.
